Clients often tell us that they want timeless photographs. What a strange thing to request! Washing images of their unique time stamp will make them weak tools for bringing back memories. At JoAnne Dunn Photography we aim to produce 'timeful' images that will evoke memories and tell the viewer about what the people in them were like when they were taken. Photos that tell a story about the time, the location and the love shared by the wedding couple. We know that when people ask for timeless photos, they really mean classic. But classic wedding images need not be cheesy or embarrassing, or detached from the 'timefulness' of your wedding day. We prefer to define a classic wedding image as a little quieter and stylish with a hint of romance. Although we still take a relaxed and natural approach to posing we may request you to kiss, or walk through a gorgeous puddle of sunshine. Our 'timeful' classic photos can be done on the wedding day or on a separate day depending on timing. The best lighting for these images is during the two hours before and the hour after sunset. Otherwise we become very limited as to where we can shoot trying to avoid hard light. The absolute worst light is at midday.
